My Secret Guide To Paris by Lisa Schroeder
1. There is a girl that goes to Paris and her dream came true.
2. The theme of the story is a girl going to Paris and doing a treasure hunt that her grandma did for her to know more about Paris.
3. The authors morning routine is probably busy. She probably sleeps late and wakes up early since she has things to do. I think that the author drinks coffee. I dont think she gets drunk and gets hungover. She estas some good breakfast such as eggs, bacon, and some waffles. In the book it talks about Paris and food is something also special about Paris. Food is something about culture. That's why I think that she does all that because the character does so much things related to the author.
4. 5 literally techniques from the book are diction, epigraph, metaphor, foreshadowing, and imagery. They all connect to the book because each thing has their meaning and they all make sense on how the author uses them in the book.

1. What drew me to this book is that it's about Paris. I always wanted to go to Paris and the book takes place in Paris. What I expected from this book is that the girl would learn so much while she is in Paris. It was a great experience reading this book.
2. What kept me reading in the 10 first pages is that their was a family problem that the grandma does and she was going with her granddaughter to Paris. I was hooked to the story and wonder how she was going to Paris.
3. My reading habits are that bad. I mean if I like the story for sure I'm not going to stop reading it, but if the story is not something I'm into don't be shocked when I tell you that I had not finished reading the book. I've been reading the book every single day I usually try to read as much as I can when I have time.
1. The plot about the book is about a girl that goes to Paris and follows her dreams.
2. The theme of the novel is about a girl going to Paris and she has to do a treasure hunt That her grandma made her for her birthday gift. Her grandma also shares some things to her granddaughter things that she likes.
3. The authors tone is excitement, sadness, and anger. The author shows excitement because she uses exclamation Marks, but not only that when you read the lines you could tell that the authors tone is excitement. As well as sadness and anger. You could really tell what is the authors tone with out using words or making it obvious.
4. 10 literaly elements that I observed the strength of my understanding of the authors purpose are characters, plot, theme, setting, tone and mood, point of view, figurative language, foreshadowing and flashback, point of view, and character traits. All of these helped me understand everything about the book. The characters were something that they were detailed like on how they were. The plot was about the girl going to Paris. The theme was the girl following the dreams. Setting was really good as well in Paris and how they talked or explained the book. Tone and mood is how the author explained the book. The rest is the same they all exprece each differently in the story, but they make sense.
1. Two examples of direct characterization is that the girl is sad because her grandmother died, but she was still excited to go to Paris. Her mom was not even sad that her mom died because they wouldn't get along.
2. The authors syntax and or diction change when she focuses on characterization by using the right words to express herself. Like in the story it expresses how the girl is sad because the grandma died or how she is excited to go to Paris and learn new stuff.
3. I think its dynamic because she changes her thinking about her mom and the mom changes the thinking of her mom and her daughter. Thanks to the grandmother that made the treasure hunt for her granddaughter and her daughter to get closer together.
4. After reading this story I feel like I read a character. A character expresses themselves and I think thati read a person because the way they felt, the way they experienced on doing different things. I even felt like I was in Paris and doing things with the girl.
